規制、安全評価

　TMI-2事故により、米国の原子力規制委員会（NRC）、産業界、電力会社、政府は、大きな影響を受けた。NRCの受けた影響は、産業界と規制機関の関係を再構築することであった。TMI-2事故以前は、技術的な専門性に基づく良好な情報交換であったが、事故以降は、むしろ対立する関係になり、距離を置き、法律によって支配される関係となった。
